Cineraria / Silver Dust (Senecio cineraria / Pericallis × hybrida) is a spectacular cool-season flower producing large, daisy-like blooms in vivid shades of purple, blue, pink, red, and white — often with a contrasting white eye that creates a bicolour effect. The compact, mound-forming plants are covered in flowers for months, making cineraria one of the most striking winter pot plants available. An exceptionally showy cool-season plant — ideal for pots, balconies, and window boxes during the Indian winter. Cineraria is unusual among winter flowers in preferring bright indirect light rather than full midday sun, making it perfect for partially shaded balconies and verandahs.
