Desi Variety Petunia Mix (Petunia × hybrida) is a locally adapted, open-pollinated petunia mix bred for Indian growing conditions — more heat-tolerant at the end of the cool season than F1 hybrid types, and able to naturalise and self-seed. Produces flowers in a range of traditional petunia colours. Known as Petunia (Hindi: पेटूनिया). Desi varieties are valued for their ability to self-seed and return year after year, saving the cost of new seeds each season. More robust under Indian conditions than many imported F1 varieties. A practical and economic choice for home gardeners.
