Sowing Instructions for Indian Climate: Fenugreek (Methi)
Best Sowing Time: Winter (October–December) is the ideal season for the best growth. Can be grown year-round in South India or under partial shade during summer.
Temperature for Germination: 10-25°C.
Soil: Well-drained, fertile loamy soil. It is a nitrogen-fixing legume and grows well even in moderately alkaline soils.
Sunlight: Prefers full sun (at least 6 hours). In peak Indian summers, move pots to a semi-shaded area to keep leaves tender.
Watering: Regular but moderate. The soil should be kept moist; overwatering can lead to root rot.
Spacing: 2-4 inches apart for leaves (Microgreens can be sown densely). Space rows 8-10 inches apart.
Germination Time: 3-7 days (One of the fastest-growing leafy greens).
