Green Amaranthus is one of the most popular and easiest-to-grow leafy greens across the Indian subcontinent. Known regionally as Thotakura in Telugu, Chaulai in Hindi, Mulaikeerai or Sirukeerai in Tamil, Rajgira in Marathi, Dantina Soppu in Kannada, and Cheera in Malayalam, it is a staple in traditional cooking. These seeds have been personally hand-tested in my garden to ensure they thrive in the Indian heat and provide a lush, bountiful harvest. Packed with essential vitamins, iron, and minerals, home-grown amaranthus is far more tender and flavorful than store-bought bundles. It is a fast-growing, "cut-and-come-again" crop, making it perfect for hobby gardeners with limited space in balconies, Terrace or backyards.
