Nasturtium Black Velvet (Tropaeolum majus) produces deep, velvety mahogany-black flowers — the darkest nasturtium available. The rich, near-black blooms are visually stunning against the round, bright green leaves. A rare and dramatic colour for the winter garden. Nasturtium flowers and leaves are both fully edible with a fresh, peppery flavour — excellent in salads and as garnishes. The Black Velvet variety is prized by gourmet chefs and seed collectors. Produces a vigorous trailing habit — excellent for hanging baskets, borders, and spilling over walls.
