Pink Hollyhock (Alcea rosea) produces tall, stately spires of warm, mid-pink flowers — large, open, single blooms with the characteristic hollyhock silky texture. A classic and beloved winter garden plant that has been grown in Indian gardens since the Mughal era. Known as Gulabi Gulkhaira (Hindi: गुलाबी गुलखैरा) and Gul-e-Aabas (Urdu: گل عباس). The mid-pink colour is warm, welcoming, and pairs beautifully with white, cream, and deeper red hollyhocks. Sow in September–October for impressive winter flower spires reaching 1.5–2 metres in height.
