White Mountain Mallow Silver Cup (Lavatera trimestris 'Silver Cup' white) is an elegant annual mallow producing large, open, silky-white flowers with delicate veining — like white silk cups. Also known as Rose Mallow or Annual Mallow, Lavatera is a fast-growing, bushy plant that produces flowers prolifically throughout the cool season. Known as Gulkhaira (Hindi: गुलखैरा), the mallow family is closely related to hollyhock and hibiscus. The large, open flowers have a simple, uncluttered beauty — excellent in cottage garden styles and as a cut flower. Very easy to grow from direct sowing.
