Peas seeds

Garden Peas (Pisum sativum) are a classic cool-season vegetable producing round, sweet, green seeds in flat pods. Freshly shelled peas — sweet and tender — are incomparably better than frozen or canned varieties. Used in pulao, biryani, curries, soups, and eaten raw directly from the pod. An excellent winter kitchen garden crop. Known as Matar (Hindi: मटर), Bathaani (Telugu: బఠాణీ), Pattaani (Tamil: பட்டாணி), Payar (Malayalam: പയർ), Matar (Kannada: ಮಟರ್), and Vatana (Marathi: वाटाणा). As a nitrogen-fixing legume, peas also improve soil fertility for the next crop — making them a superb winter cover crop as well as a food crop.
