Lollo Rosso Lettuce Seeds

Lollo Rosso Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a decorative Italian variety producing frilly, deeply curled leaves with deep red to burgundy colouring at the edges, graduating to pale green at the centre. It is a loose-leaf variety — harvest outer leaves continuously without pulling the whole plant, for a cut-and-come-again harvest over many weeks. Known as Salad Patta (Hindi: सलाद पत्ता), and widely grown internationally for its visual appeal and mild, slightly bitter flavour. Lollo Rosso adds colour and texture to salads and sandwiches. It is also highly ornamental — plant in pots for a decorative kitchen herb-garden display.
