The White Ghee Chilli (Capsicum annuum) is a rare and prized heirloom chilli from South India, producing creamy white to pale ivory fruits with a smooth skin and mild, buttery flavour. It is one of the mildest chilli varieties available, making it ideal for those who enjoy the taste of chilli without excessive heat. Used widely in South Indian tempering and pickles. A rare find among Indian chilli varieties, the White Ghee Chilli is cherished by traditional home gardeners in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Known as Tella Ghee Mirapakaya (Telugu: తెల్ల ఘీ మిరపకాయ), it is an excellent variety for preserving traditional seed heritage.
